In coming the days, the NSW Government is expected to announce the easing of some Covid-19 restrictions. Although it is not clear when community sport will be allowed to return, the Hills Hornets committee wanted to share with you our thinking, and allow our members to start planning.

At this point in time, we are anticipating a kick-off at the beginning of November.

We will run an 8-week competition that will be “first past the post” (no finals), and finish by Christmas.

This will get everyone back playing touch footy and reconnecting with our friends and teammates.

Given the potential start date is only 6 weeks away, we are recommending that team coordinators start registering their teams as soon as possible.  There is no financial commitment to registering a team, and we expect the limited spots will fill quickly.
(Note: If you registered a team prior to lockdown, your spot is locked in already.)

Player registration costs will be discounted to reflect the reduced number of competition rounds as follows:

  • Junior Registration: $75
  • Senior Registration $95

The cost still includes a playing singlet.
Those of you who registered prior to lockdown will receive a refund that is equivalent to the amount of the discount.

All of this of course is subject to change.   We will update you as we receive information.

In the meantime, continue to look after each other – there’s not long to go now.

The hum of a swarm coming back together is getting louder.
