The 2021 Junior State Cup Southern Conference saw 7 Hills Hornets referees join referees from dozens of other affiliates. Between the 7 referees, they adjudicated a total of 64 games.
Referee development has been a focus area for Hills Hornets in the last 12 months with the appointment of Referee Coordinator, Lucinda Wehrle.
Wehrle has designed and implemented a referee development program that is starting to pay dividends, with the following referees being assessed and awarded Level 2 upgrades over the weekend.

In addition, Micah Rodgers had his performance recognised by being selected to adjudicate the Under 12 Boys Grand Final.
Hornets News caught up with Lucinda Wehrle after the tournament.

“Each had their own personal goals which they wanted to achieve over the weekend.”
