The Hills Hornets have won the Southern Conference Club Championship.

The performance of all teams across the 10 divisions was by far and away the Hornets best ever performance at a Junior State Cup.  All 10 teams made the quarterfinals, 7 made semi finals, with 3 teams making a grand final.  All 3 grand finalists won their Grand Final Games and came away as champions.

There were some incredible performances from players across all divisions in very warm conditions at Wagga Wagga.

Hornets President, Brad Mitchell, was thrilled with the clubs achievement.

“We have been building to this moment over a number of years, and it is a great feeling to finally get this result.”

“I’d like to recognise the amazing performances of all the players, coaches and managers who contributed to this great result for our club.  Our Coaches, together with Coaching Director Dave Nolan, work so hard to help these young athletes be the best they can be.”

“Away from the field it is really important that I acknowledge the Hornets Executive who have set the direction for the club, along with the rest of the committee who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our coaches and players have everything they need to be successful.”
