The interest from our junior players to compete at the NSW Junior State Cup broke records once again. This was particularly evident in the Under 12 and Under 14 Boys divisions. The trials for these divisions are highly competitive, and becoming increasingly so.
As we have done in previous years, we are providing an opportunity for players who missed out on selection to participate in Hills Hornets development teams.
Hills Hornets Development programs have a proven record of success with players from dev teams not only making Hills Hornets JSC teams the following year, but also higher honours with Sydney Scorpions.
Coaches
Hills Hornets ensures development teams are guided by highly qualified coaches. This year will be no different, with Men’s Premier League coaches Brad Curl and Phil McIlwraith overseeing the program.
Opportunities to Play
In previous years development teams would play gala days leading into the Peter Wilson weekend tournament. In the current situation with Covid, it is not certain what gala days will be available, and the status of the Peter Wilson tournament is unclear. Nonetheless, the training and skills development provided will be invaluable to the aspiring junior representative touch player.
