Hills Hornets is proud to announce the Vawdon Cup Coaches for season 2022.

Womens Program

Mel Mitchell, continues as Head Coach of the Women’s Premier League. Assisting Mitchell will be Dave Nolan and newcomer to the Hornets Swarm, Brett Shelton.

Building on the success of the 2022 Southern Conference Junior Championship, Monique Nolan continues her role as Division 1 Women’s Coach, supported by Craig Beacroft and Jo Lawson who will provide the crucial bloodline into the Women’s Premier League Program.

Kirstie Wakely steps into the Head Coach role of the Girls Youth team after steering our u14Girls to a Championship title in Wagga earlier in the year.

Mens Program

The  Men’s Premier League Team will be once again be led by Head Coach, Brad Curl with assistant Coaches Phil McIlwraith & Matt Lawson.

In the Boys Youth division, Hills Hornets are looking to enter a team in both Division 1 and Division 2.

For the Div1 Boys Youth team, our winning u14B Southern Conference coaching duo of Dallas & Dion Paterson take on their first Vawdon Cup campaign.

For the Div2 Boys Youth, Mark Jones returns as Head Coach, ably assisted by Men’s Premier League player and junior coach, Alexander Nolan.

Mixed Program

Manu Wakely will again lead the Hills Hornets Mixed program.  In the event that a Vawdon Mixed Division does not go ahead, Manu will head up a Division 1 Mens team.

The coaching team announced demonstrates Hills Hornets’ commitment to providing an environment for players to maximise their potential.

Players who would like to be a part of the Hills Hornets’ 2022 Vawdon Cup campaign and are yet to complete their expression of interest should register here.

About Vawdon Cup

The Vawdon Cup is a weekly competition conducted throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area catering for Opens & Youth divisions.

The competition will commence in late August and finishes inearly November.

Games are played as a mix of Friday night games, and Sunday double headers.
