Last weekend NSW’s best junior players traveled to Ballina to compete in the NSW Junior Regional Championship. After a weekend of high quality Touch Football, the Sydney Scorpions were crowned regional champions for the 8th year in a row – edging out the Hunter Hornets by only 1 point.

Sydney Scorpions teams included representatives from Hills, Manly, Parramatta, Hornsby, Northern Beaches and Carlingford.

A special mention for Ray Wehbe who as well as being selected as Scorpions Club captain, also won the Sam Brisby Medal as recognition for his contribution as a Junior Scorpion over a number of years.

All players and coaches are now looking forward to getting back to home turf at the Hills Hornets and relaying what they have learnt to the next group of potential Scorpion representatives.
