Hills Junior Gala Day

By Hornet News on 31.07.2008

The Hills Junior School Gala Day will be held at Burnie Mullane Sports Complex on Thursday 7th August 2008.

The event will be run by NSWTA with assistance from Hills Touch and Hills Hornets with the goal to grow Hills Junior Touch within the area.

Currently there are no junior touch teams at Hills with plenty of children lost to other sports such as soccer and league. With the development of this gala day hopefully children will enjoy their experience and continue to participate in touch.

Hills Touch is keen to provide a junior competition within a year to help produce the next generation of Hills touch players that can filter through to the senior level. The goal for the Hornets is to introduce the first team to represent Hills at next years Junior State Cup held in February.

NSWTA would like to send the invitation out to all Hills players that can assist for the day, whether it be running a BBQ, canteen, refereeing or just provide general assistance.

The Gala day commences at 9am and will finish at 2.30 with teams from the local primary school regions competing in a fun and exciting day of touch.

Any questions or queries please contact Andrew Lees from NSWTA or Brad.
