Vawdon Cup 2008 has finished for the Hornets Mixed and Mens team after a season of
high achievements. Although both teams will be disappointed with their exits, it was always a
season of rebuilding for the Hornets who have achieved greater results than forecasted.
The Mixed team went down at the final hurdle to a determined Sharks outfit 9-3 while
the Mens went down to arch rivals Liverpool Lightning 5-3 a week earlier.
All eyes will now be fixed on the up coming State Cup carnival from the 5th - 7th
December at Port Macquarie with training to start up shortly.
