The new Hills Hornets have started Vawdon Cup 2008 with success that has the touch
community looking over their shoulders for the killer Hornets.
The Mixed Team ran away with a convincing win over the much more established Cronulla
Sharks team. The Hornets combined well for a group that has played little touch together
in the past and confidence will be high for the coming week against the Liverpool
Lightning.
The Mens team faced the Campbelltown Ghosts team and showed some great glimpses of what
can be expected for the rest of 2008. After a long preseason the cohesion and structure
of the team seems to be coming together well and will be looking to run a cricket score
up against the Jets this coming week.
As both teams will be playing at Parramatta this week at 7pm we have the chance to
catch up for a drink and a laugh after the game at the grounds. So stick around,
catch up and watch some footy.
