The battle for touch supremacy unfolded last weekend with QLD taking on the
might of NSW at Tempe starting Friday.
With rain holding off for Friday's game the 45's took the field planning to take
an early 1-0 lead in the series and it wasn't long before the blues plans turned
into reality with a 7-3 victory. Game 2 saw NSW again run rough shot over the northerners
6-1 and in Game 3 they completed a clean sweep 8-3.
Hills own Mick Sproule starred in the series with glimpses of brillance that had
the Queenslanders clutching at air as he set up and scored tries at will.
Overall the Blues took the title 9-4 with victories going to the Mens Open, Womens
Open, Mens 20s, Womens Open, Mens 30s, Mens 35s, Womens 35s, Mens 40s,
and Mens 45s.

continued dominance of the Queenslanders.
