The 2008 Competition sees the emergence of two Hills Hornets teams tackle the best
that Sydney has to offer. The reformed Mixed team will once again face the heavy weights
in their division while the Mens team will use experience to overcome the youthfull
skill of their younger opposition.
The teams are previewed below as the count down begins;
The Hornets Mixed trophey cabinet has lay bare for 10 years since the mighty 98 team took
out titles in the Sydney Champs and State Cup. This year the team has developed into an
impressive outfit and will look to Kirk Mathie, Todd Johnson and Kylie Hore to steer them
through this campaign. The Hornets will also rely on the youthfullness of Andy
Hendra, Penny Skeen and Ash Pointer to ensure the young talent lifts the team to their
full potential.
The Hornets line up for 2008 is impressive with a record five NTL players and one NSW player
filling the books. The return of Bruce Agar and the addition of Jamie Clifford will strengthen
the solid Hornets team with the leadership of Anthony Jack proving this side will be difficult
to manage for any opponent.
