Hills Hornets Attack State Cup

By Hornet News on 08.12.2009

Hills Hornets have completed yet another year at State Cup with results showing that it was one of our most successful years at Port Macquarie.

With all four teams playing some fantastic touch, it was the mixed B team that forced their way into the semis and were narrowly defeated by Penrith.

The mixed opens A team battled on strongly against the heavy weights from across the state and showed that the future for Hills touch is strong.

The mens opens B did it tough all weekend with 9 players and in a display of determination almost made it through to the semis. Well done guys on an awesome performance.

The mens 30s battled on strongly all weekend and proved once again that a semi final spot is well within reach in the coming years.

Congratulations to all who competed and helped out over the weekend and hope to see you all in the new year for another crack in 2010. Have a Merry Christmas.
