Hills Hornets Touch would like to wish Mick Sproule and Bruce Ager all the best when they line up
against the Kiwi's in the Trans Tasman Masters Series to be played in Townsville over the long
weekend.
Sprouley will face off in the Mens 45s team under the watchful eye of coach Doc as the Aussie's
try to continue their dominance over the New Zealanders.
“I’m quietly confident that we’ll get the job done. We’ve got a fairly experienced base of players
which is good and most of us are from Sydney so we’ve been managing to train while the interstate
guys haven’t been there so that should hold us in good stead for the three games,” Sprouley said.
Asked about his teams build up Doc added,
"The training camp was really good, that was beneficial, to meet the other guys from interstate.
I know most of the guys anyway; I’ve actually played with everyone in the side except one guy, so
that comes in handy. We’re starting to come together now; we’re starting to put it all together
now. The guys are looking sharp at training and hopefully we’ll peak at the right time,” Doc said.
