2010 Vawdon Cup is fast approaching and the Hills Hornets are in full flight for an attack on the
prized silverware.
Boasting an lineup comprising of four teams this year, expectations are high and enthusiasm even
higher as training schedules are fine tuned to have these players full of running come August 27.
Womens Div 2
Not since 2004 has the Hornettes graced the fields in the maroon and gold but a lack of experience in
the missing seasons are made up of will and determination by these crafty women. As everyone knows -
beware of the queen!
Mens Div 1
It is the first time in history that the Hornets will field a Division 1 team for Vawdon Cup and
the element of surprise will surely shock a few of the bigger teams. The boys will front toe to toe
against the men in what will prove to be a David and Goliath triupmh for the mighty Hornets.
Mixed Opens
The Mixed team will once again shake it with the much more fanicied teams but as history shows they
are more than capable to dance with the devil. The squad is shaping into a formidable team and with
only weeks to go the excitment is fever pitch.
Mens Div 2
The new team on the block is made up of familiar faces but stepping up in division will surely show
what these players are made of. Simon and his merry men will take it to anyone who stands in front of their
tryline and they better pack some heavy ammo to take these boys down.
