Congratulations to the Hills Hornets who have been selected to represent the Sydney Scorpions
at the upcoming National Touch League to be held at Port Macquarie in March.
The NTL is a regionally based National competition where 12 regions, called permits, compete.
Brad Mitchell will be competing in the Mens 30s who have not won since 2001 and have been runners-up
on 7 occassions since 2000. Hopefully this year the team can take it one step further.
Jamie has been selected in the Mens 40s team who are competing for a record 5th straight title at
NTL level. This team will be the shortest price favourite in NTL history as they prepare to
rewrite the record books.
The newly reformed Mens 45s team consisting of Sprouley, Kenny and Doc will be bidding to capture
the elusive 45s crown. The Scorpions have not won this division and with a number of last years
40s players moving up a division the chances are pretty strong.
Hornets Rhys Jones will again kit up for the Sharks senior mixed team as he and his team try to go back
to back in this division. Also in the Senior Mixed is Grant Davis who is starting for the Hunter
Hornets in NTL 2009.
The NTLs also act as the last round of State squad selections for 2010 as players either try to remain in
their squads or force their way in.
We wish all players the best of luck.
