This year the Hornets are trying to introduce a few new initiatives to increase team
interest and hopefully generate funds targeted towards State Cup 08.
A punters club has been introduced and every player is required to provide $5
per week at a training session. Half the amount is then banked and the other half is bet
by a player starting in shirt number order. The money banked will go towards this years
State Cup and other expenses so hopefully costs will be heavily reduced come December.
Fines will apply if the money is not recieved from a player which will be posted on the web.
Training will start on Sunday the 11th May at Burnie Mullane Sports Complex at 8am. The
following week will be at Riverstone with a BBQ to follow at Crackers for the Season
Launch and gear presentation. This is subject to the gear being available at that time.
Player fees are now overdue and those who haven't paid please do so as soon as possible.
